This Legal Notice explains who is responsible for the commonground.mx website (the “Website”), what kind of service Common Ground Agencia Migratoria, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“Common Ground”) provides, and the scope of the information and tools published on it.
1. Website owner

2. A private law firm, not an authority
Common Ground is a private law firm specialized in immigration law. It is not an authority and has no affiliation, agreement or representation with Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), the Mexican consulates or any other government agency.
Immigration applications are always decided by the competent authority. Common Ground prepares, assembles, files and follows up on its clients’ files.
3. Our team’s background
The references to “former SRE” and “former Consul of Mexico” refer to positions that team members held in the past. They do not mean that Common Ground acts on behalf of the government or receives preferential treatment from the authorities.
The lawyers who sign our cases hold a professional license (cédula profesional), which can be verified in the National Registry of Professionals of Mexico’s Ministry of Public Education.
4. Guidance tools and content
The Risk traffic light, Find your path, the quick assessment, the calculator, the guides, the articles and the webinars are for guidance only. They help you understand a case, but they do not replace a lawyer’s legal advice on your specific situation or create a client relationship.
Every published figure or requirement is based on the regulations and official sources in force on the date of publication and may change.
5. Timelines and results
Common Ground does not promise the approval of any application or any decision timeline: the decision rests with the authorities. The timelines shown on the Website are typical reference times. The CG Guarantee covers the technical quality of our work under the published terms.
6. Prices
Common Ground’s fees are stated in Mexican pesos plus VAT, unless otherwise indicated. Government fees (INM, consulates) are paid separately, change every year and are listed separately in each proposal.
7. Testimonials and trademarks
Client testimonials, names, photos and logos are published only with their written authorization. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
8. Use of the Website and related documents
Use of the Website is also governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use, the Comprehensive Privacy Notice and the Cookie Policy.
